Independence HOA Assistant supports residents, board members, HOA management, and administrators with calendars, reservations, documents, support tools, and community operations. This page explains what information the application uses and how that information is handled.

This policy applies to the Independence HOA Assistant mobile apps,
web application, and related support features available through
app.independenceflorida.com.

Information the app may collect
- Resident and account information such as name, email address, role, unit, HOA association membership, and login state.
- Reservation, calendar, violation, support, and preference data used to power community features.
- Profile information and images you choose to upload.
- Device, browser, build, and diagnostic information used for security, bug reporting, and troubleshooting.
- Notification registration details if you enable push notifications.
- Information imported from connected HOA systems or service providers when needed to support community operations.
How the app uses information
- To authenticate users and show the correct resident, board, management, or admin experience.
- To display calendars, documents, reservations, violations, announcements, and support tools relevant to your HOA membership.
- To send operational alerts, reminders, and optional push notifications.
- To investigate bugs, support requests, abuse, and service reliability issues.
- To maintain records needed for HOA operations, audits, and service history.
How information may be shared
- Information is shared with authorized HOA staff, board members, administrators, and service providers only as needed to operate the service and community workflows.
- Data may be processed by vendors that provide hosting, notifications, storage, email, authentication, and related infrastructure.
- Information may be disclosed if reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect the community, or enforce policies and terms.
Notifications, photos, and permissions
- Push notifications are optional and can be managed in your device settings and in-app preferences where available.
- Photo access is only used for features such as profile images or other uploads you choose to submit.
- Location access, if enabled, is used only for app features that depend on location-aware behavior and is not required for basic access.
Data retention
Data is retained for as long as needed to operate the application, support HOA workflows, preserve records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security and audit trails.

- You can choose whether to enable optional permissions such as notifications, photos, or location.
